The Raw Family: Victoria, Valya, and Sergei Boutenko
By Andrew Heintz
Victoria Boutenko, raw foods teacher and researcher, is a pioneer in the field of raw foods. She and her family found the living foods lifestyle back in the 90s when they developed allergies, asthma, obesity, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. Through a living foods lifestyle, they reversed their conditions and developed vibrant health. Each one of them is a beautiful, radiant testimony to the power of raw foods.

Victoria went on to develop the green smoothie, an innovation in the world of raw foods. This smoothie, created using approximately 50% fruit and 50% greens is an excellent way to maximize nutrient intake. Eating green smoothies enables you to eat much more greens than you would if you tried to eat all your greens as salads. You’re able to pump in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that your body loves as it heals. Click here for free recipes and a 3 day green smoothie detox plan.
Her son Sergei has become passionate about wild foods. These foods contain much more nutrition than foods bought at the grocery store or even gardened at home. He has developed an Iphone app and offers lots of fun videos about wild foods. You can find out more about wild foods and Sergei’s work here.
Victoria's daughter Valya has released a documentary called Reversing the Irreversible , as well as a children’s book called Will You Love Me Still? Like the rest of her family, she’s passionate about spreading the message of health to the world.
Victoria has recently released an update to her book Green for Life . She has continued to do research, reading the scientific data on health and explaining it in a way that the rest of us can understand. She’s updated her recommendations for health and wellness in accordance with her expanding knowledge of health. We plan to review Green for Life soon and post a link here.
In addition, she’s recently released another book with Chad Sarno and Elaina Love called Raw and Beyond . It’s a groundbreaking book on the role of essential fatty acids, EFAs, in a raw vegan diet. We also plan to review this work and include a link here.
Finally, Victoria has become passionate about sharing classic works of literature. Her latest project is to encourage the reading, creating ways to get the right books into the hands of the right people. She strongly believes that the classics can be key to developing the mind and growing as a person. She has been working on authoring childrens’ books like A Gift from Little Bear and Fruits I Love and has been releasing them. We are excited about this project and hope to hear more soon. We’ll give you an update as we find out more about her plans.
Make sure you keep an eye on this lovely lady and her family, for they are movers and a shakers, and they’re gonna continue to rock the world for raw foods and health!
